Owning the Dharma
Excellent overview of the development of the Vajrayana power structure, and a great overview of how a political and strictly hierarchical feudal system has come to believe that they own the "licensing rights" and trademark to the Dharma.

It also provides food for thought on why Tibetan Buddhism has taken off in our contemporary Boss-Employee lockstep society.
