Bad girl continued

Ok it took long enough for the sequal to come out. I owned the first one so I went back & read to refresh myself with what happened. The first book was better by far but this one had an updated twist to it. Tonya is older and more wiser now except for when it comes to Q. I think it was lovely that he gave her a job & got her out the hood, but she was setting herself to short. Becoming a baby momma & not a wife. She almost died at the hands of the first baby momma. Now that chick is on the loose again until it cools down. What will happen when Niecy finds out about the baby? More drama awaits but I guess we'll have to wait another five years to see. It was a quick read but there could have been more action. The only good scenes that really transpired were with Karen and then the kidnapping. Other than that the book was just so so.

WHO WAS THE BAD GIRL?

THE FIRST BOOK WAS GOOD. THE SECOND INSTALLMENT WAS SLOW AND ALL OVER THE PLACE. I DIDN'T SEE WHERE THE TITLE FIT. TONYA WAS FROM ONE EXTREME TO ANOTHER. WHEN SHE HOOKED BACK UP WITH Q THAT'S WHERE THE BAD GIRL PERSONA SHOULD'VE KICKED IN BEING THAT THE MAIN CHARACTERS FROM PART 1 WERE KILLED OFF IN THE FIRST BOOK. NEICEY COULD'VE BEEN THE ONE CAUSING TONYA TO BE A BAD GIRL BUT THAT WASN'T EVEN SO EXCEPT FOR ONE FIGHT. WHAT DID Q'S SISTER HAVE TO DO WITH THE STORY? WHY WASN'T NAEEMA GIVEN HER JOB BACK ESPECIALLY AFTER WHAT Q LEARNED ABOUT HIS SISTER. THE ENTIRE BOOK TO ME WAS A WASTE OF TIME. NONE OF THE PLOTS MADE SENSE.

I DON'T THINK SHANNON HAD INTENDED TO WRITE A PART II BEING THAT PART ONE WAS PRETTY MUCH A WRAP. THE ENTIRE BOOK WAS BASED ON TONYA EARNING THE PROUD POSISTION AS A BABY MAMA OF A BALLER, NOT HIS WIFE, BUT BABY MAMA. WHICH TO ME IS SAD BECAUSE WE AS WOMEN SHOULD STRIVE TO HAVE OUR OWN.

WARNING Do NOT waste your money.

I said I wasn't gonna do it. Said I would keep my thoughts to myself on this one. BUT I CAN'T allow someone to make the same mistake I made. So this is fair warning. Please know what you are getting yourself into. The first book was GREAT. This one, a complete mess. Why Shannon why? Waited so long for the sequel and again, here it is, another 2008 let down. The book jumped off and immediately had me hooked. After the first ten pages, it fell off and I can't tell you anything about the middle because I literally read it like a robot, just to get to the end. Do not spend your money on these three hundred pages of wasted trees. Do yourself a favor and GO TO THE LIBRARY instead. Better yet, you can borrow mines.
