EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description Kristin Burns is making her way in New York City. Her photos are being considered at a major Manhattan gallery, she works by day with two wonderful children, and the man of her dreams is almost hers for keeps. But just as everything she's ever wanted is finally within reach, her life changes forever--with one murderous nightmare. Kristin wakes up every morning from the same chilling, unforgettable dream. And suddenly, it's visiting her during the day too. As her life turns stranger by the minute, Kristin is haunted and terrified. Is it all in her head? Or is the nightmare becoming her life? Kristin searches desperately for what's real through the lens of her camera, only knowing two things for sure: that no place is safe and the fate of everyone she loves lies in her hands. |
CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 2.0 based on 402 reviews)
| One of my favs I've read many of Patterson's books but this was one of my favorites. In fact, I liked it so much, I read it again once I finished it the first time. What I like most about the book was the angle it comes from - something different, fresh and capturing. October 05, 2008 | | Fun little read for the airport Picked this book up at the grocery store as it seemed to be the only book without Fabio on the cover. It's definitely not Shakespeare, but I found it to be a page turner. I enjoyed it and couldn't wait to see how it would end. I recommend this as a great book to take along to pass the time in a waiting room or somewhere you wouldn't want to read a book that's really deep. If you go into it not expecting much I think you'll get a kick out of it. October 04, 2008 | | The Worst Patterson Book Ever I've been a long time James Patterson fan, but over the last several years, I've been so disappointed in the co-authored books that have been churned out every few months.
YOU'VE BEEN WARNED (and you have here) is the WORST BOOK EVER. If you don't believe me and still want to read about a nanny and wannabe photographer who has murderous nightmares, then PLEASE borrow the book from the library and save your money, as I have to believe you'll want to trash it in the end. October 04, 2008 | | Absolute Worst Book What a complete waste of my time. Please save your time and money and find something interesting to read. Alex Cross, yes. Womens Club, yes. Anything else I will stay away from. October 02, 2008 | | James Patterson Books Are Like Drugs I am not sure why James Patterson has such a hold on me and fellow readers. His books are so easy to digest and seem to be getting more shallow every new book. However I still find myself compelled to be the first in line to by each and every new book? Why, I ask myself...what could it be that I find so addicting?
You've been warned is a little different than his mystery / murder books. This is more of a supernatural book and like the 6th Sense if you know the ending than the entire plot is ruined. I am not a fast reader as in able to read a book a day, however I did finish You've Been Warned in one sitting. I was not able to put it down. My first thought after finishing the book was disappointment. But than I began to think about what the book was about and what it meant and the clues that were sprinkled trhu the chapters. The more I thought the more my mind changed. I guess to me it was like reading a short story in college and than the discussion afterwards and how every one had a differnt insight to the true meaning.
All in all this book is not the worst way to spend a weekend at home. October 01, 2008 | |
