Product Description
Still aching over his wife's death, Cody Gunner can't bear the thought of also letting go of his brother, Carl Joseph, who suffers from Down Syndrome. Cody wants his brother home, where he will be safe and cared for, not out on his own in a world that Cody knows all too well can be heartless and insecure.
So when Carl Joseph's teacher, Elle, begins championing his independence, she finds herself at odds with Cody. But even as these two battle it out, they can't deny the instinctive connection they share, and Cody faces a crisis of the heart.
What if Elle is the one woman who can teach Cody that love is still possible? If Cody can let go of his lingering anger, he might just see that sometimes the brightest hope of all lies JUST BEYOND THE CLOUDS.

Just Beyond the Clouds
Karen Kingsbury never fails to produce Christian fiction that is believable, often heart-wrenching, and yet wonderfully life-changing. As always, she writes about the issues real people face, the way real people often choose to deal with their problems. But every character in the book grows spiritually and emotionally and becomes a better person for having made some difficult choices.

It's more than a romance...
Just Beyond the Clouds definitely offers romance, but to a greater degree it is the story of Elle and her work with Down Syndrome adults. Karen Kingsbury creates a group of adults that touch your heart and you join in their struggle for independence. Yes, as a reader you are cheering for Elle and Cody, but at the same time you reach our to Carl Joseph and Daisy. This book is definitely worth reading. (by, Dona Norton, author of On wings to Fly)
