EDITORIAL REVIEWS

Product Description
Five years ago, Dr. St. Amand published the results of 40 years of research based on his own experience with fibromyalgia and that of hundreds of his patients. He outlines the first effective protocol for reversing the disease, which affects 6 to 8 million Americans, by utlizing guaifenesin, an inexpensive drug that can restore normal living in most sufferers when properly administered. This newly revised and updated edition will reflect: the increased availability of guaifenesinnew formulations, dosages, and most importantly, the fact that its now available over-the-counter increased emphasis on other diseases like hypoglycemia that are often linked to fibromyalgia new information about the dangers of increasingly popular narcotic medications used to treat the disease and much more.

Fibromyalgia book
I have just recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and wanted to do some research on the matter. A friend loaned me her copy but my puppy ate it. I had to not only replace my friends book but I also ordered my own copy. Amazon is usually always timely with their shipments and this order proves it! The books were high quality at a lower price and I received them on time. Thanks Amazon!!!

interesting information but......
I read this entire book in one night. I have had fibro for most of my life and was diagnosed almost 20 years ago. I have read dozens of books on this subject and was completely prepared to try this protocol. I bought all the new cosmetics and soaps and even got my Guai but when I started reading the posts week after week in the guai support groups online I became very skeptical if this is the route I wanted to take. I suggest one signs up to the guai support groups BEFORE starting this protocol and really pay attention to what the people say. I find it odd that so many and I mean ALOT of the people are still taking loads of drugs along with this program and so many seem to be suffering well into the years instead of weeks or even months. If you read online in regular Fibro support groups this protocol does not have a high rating. I went on this protocol and for a month experienced the worst fibro symtoms of my entire life. Completely laying me out. Pain for an unknown period of time is to be expected but in the guai support groups you find that this pain on average seems to last for months and years. Didn't seem reasonable to me so I stopped and have now tried Dr. Teitelbaum's protocol called SHIN outlined in his book called From FATIGUED TO FANTASTIC and already am seeing a response by my body in the sleep and energy areas. Both are improving. What your Dr. May not tell you about Fibro is interesting and informative and a good read but I would highly suggest really listening to people who are doing this protocol online in the support groups and see what you think first before actually tring it.

Finally, Relief from Fibromyalgia
This book is comprehensive and well written. This is an absolute MUST for anyone who thinks that they may have fibromyalgia. While the treatment may seem overwhelming at first, after you start doing it (taking the guaifenisen and stop using all salicilites), it's actually a very easy program to follow.

I was so inspired by the book that I made an appointment with Dr. St. Amand at his Marina del Rey office. In person, Claudia went over all the dos and don'ts in detaill.

This book and the authors have provided me ray of hope for fibromyalgia. I've been getting better through the program and without receiving perscriptions for major drugs, such as was recommended by previous doctors.

If you have fibromyalgia, do yourself a favor and read this book. If you can, go and see Dr. St. Amand in person. I'm reordering this book for a friend in Ireland who thinks she has fibromyalgia but has no access to such a great doctor like Dr. St. Amand.

You can also visit his website at: www.fibromyalgiatreatment.com. On the website, Claudia makes it very easy for people following this program by listing products that are salicilite free.

This won't be the answer for everyone...
Please keep in mind that not everyone who tries guaifenesin (which is the name of the drug in Mucinex) will be cured of Fibromyalgia. I wasn't, despite being super careful to avoid salicylates. My guess is that, since Fibro is a bit of a wastebasket diagnosis, this will help some forms of Fibro, but not others. Definitely try the method in this book if you've been diagnosed with Fibro, but try to get it second-hand or from your library in case it doesn't work for you. Good luck! We'll find a cure for all of us someday...
