CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.5 based on 17 reviews)

Me, me, me
I was really hoping to gather more insight into advertising and promoting on the web.

What I got was WAY TOO MUCH of the author's own references to himself, his site, and his personal bio.

For someone who has no clue regarding marketing, advertising, PR, and the like this may be okay.

But I think they would still pick up on 2/3 - 3/4 of the book dedicated to self.

Good basic content
This is a good primer on the subject of monetizing your website. Its shortcomings are more a result of its format as a book than in the material. The field is evolving so quickly that you would be well advised to do a lot of supplementary reading on the web.

Helpful and well written
Interesting overview on the topic. As the subtitle suggests this book talks about "turning web sites, blogs, and podcasts into cash". The book is not hard to read, it's language is very friendly and easy to understand, while it's ideas are very mature. The author, it is evident, is very wise on the topic and shares his experience with the readers. There are no fluff or extra talk. Just useful material, ideas, web links, books, web sites, and suggestions based on many years of experience as a content provider.
I took this book from a library, but now I'm considering buying it, so much I liked it!
Highly recommended.

Great beginner's book
This book is for blog beginners. It is just specific enough to get started. If that is the kind of primer you are looking for, jump on it fast! If you are already passed stage 1, it might be helpful, but you might find it not advanced enough.

A bible for small businesses
JD Frazer uses his humor to great effect in this easy to read guide to how to set up a small web-based business. It is worth the cover price just for the resources that he points the reader towards. A bible for the early part of the 21st century!
