EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description As a traditional psychotherapist, Dr. Brian Weiss was astonished and skeptical when one of his patients began recalling past-life traumas that seemed to hold the key to her recurring nightmares and anxiety attacks. His skepticism was eroded, however, when she began to channel messages from the "space between lives," which contained remarkable revelations about Dr. Weiss' family and his dead son. Using past-life therapy, he was able to cure the patient and embark on a new, more meaningful phase of his own career. | Amazon.com Psychiatry and metaphysics blend together in this fascinating book based on a true case history. Dr. Weiss, who was once firmly entrenched in a clinical approach to psychiatry, finds himself reluctantly drawn into past-life therapy when a hypnotized client suddenly reveals details of her previous lives. During one hypnosis session his client introduces the spirit guides who have been her soul therapists in between lives. This is when the story really takes off for Weiss, who discovers that these guides have specific messages about his dead son as well as Weiss's mission in life. No, we cannot verify the truth of this story using the limited scientific tools we have available. However, it is hard to dispute that this well-respected graduate of Columbia University and Yale Medical School has discovered a personal truth that has led him to be an enormously popular speaker, author, and leader in the field of past-life therapy. --Gail Hudson |

| many lives, many masters Regressive hypnosis can cure night terrors. I believe Dr. Weiss has performed a service of true and honest information than was dimmed by controlling religions. August 29, 2008 | | The Facts may be off but the wisdom is there This was a very easy read and I enjoyed it very much. It is an unbelievable true story. Now there may have been some funny things going on with the books relating to the facts. I didn't really pay all that attention to what Catherine was saying about her past lives. It was interesting at first but what really floored me was when the masters spoke. The wisdom that came from them was a beautiful thing. That is what really won me over with this book was the wisdom that was in it. I don't know about all the historical facts that may be wrong about what she had said but when she spoke of wisdom it made a lot of sense. Even if she is the greatest actress and lier alive she still has some damn good thoughts about life. I don't believe in this book blindly and fully but I do enjoy the wisdom within it. August 21, 2008 | | book review Excellent book about hypnosis, psychological care and the effect of learning about events in previous lives. Really supports the widely held (in hindu and buddist cultures) belief of reincarnation. August 08, 2008 | | This book changed my life It has given me perspective and purpose in my life's journey, it has helped me release certain fears and has given me a sense of peace. This book has recommited me in my desire to help others and be a kind and giving person. It is a book I will always keep and reread time and time again. Thank you, sincerely, Dr. Weiss for writing it. Really good book and easy to follow. Hard to refute what Dr. Weiss discovers in this journey with his patient. Explains so much of why we struggle to be human and reminds us how much we can be additive to our lives with the proper tools. Open your mind and be free! August 01, 2008 | |
