Product Description
So my only protection is a kindergarten teacher and a ninety-eight-pound female minister....And they don't even believe I'm in danger.

As Bethany approaches her thirteenth birthday, her parents act more oddly than usual. Her mother cries constantly, and her father barely lets Bethany out of his sight. Then one morning he hustles the entire family into the car, drives across several state lines -- and leaves Bethany with an aunt she never knew existed. Bethany has no idea what's going on. She's worried her mom and dad are running from some kind of trouble, but she can't find out because they won't tell her where they are going.

Bethany's only clue is a few words she overheard her father tell her aunt: "She doesn't know anything about Elizabeth." But Aunt Myrlie won't tell Bethany who Elizabeth is, and she won't explain why people in her small town react to Bethany as if they've seen a ghost. The mystery intensifies when Bethany gets a package from her father containing four different birth certificates from four different states, with four different last names -- and thousands of dollars in cash. And when a strange man shows up asking questions, Bethany realizes the's not the only one who's desperate to unravel the secrets of her past.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.5 based on 44 reviews)

Surprising twist!
Bethany starts to wonder what is going on when her parents dump her at her aunt's place, with numerous fake I.D.'s. She and her family seem to be being tracked, but she doesn't know why. With quite a bit of investigation she finally uncovers the truth: she is an illegal clone and her parents have been raising her as the daughter they have lost. An enjoyable book, and I did not guess at all the turns the plot would take.

A page-turner.
Right before her 13th birthday, Bethany's parents drop her off with an aunt she has never met. They leave her with no explanation and no way to contact them. Bethany's questions lead her to discover more family secrets than she ever imagined her boring parents could have. Who is Bethany--really? The answer to that question might well destroy her forever.

A quick and suspenseful read.

Didn't Wanna Put it Down!
I'm not good at summarizing books so I'll just tell you what I thought of it. I loved it! I know it is classified under 9-12 but I think 13 will like it as well...maybe even 14? It's very fast-paced and hard to put down for long periods of time! One of the best mysteries I've ever read...keeps you guessing until the last second!

A Exciting Cliffhanger
Betheny, a 12 year old girl gets dropped off with her Aunt Myrlie witch she never even met with no warning.
She went through weird behaviors before with her parents such as,ucontrollable crying from from her mother and sadness from her father.
But,then weird stuff happens like her mom calls but instead of saying Hi, Bethany she called her "Elizebeth".
Who is Elizebeth?and Why is everyone acting so weird? These questions and more are all answered in the book!
