This book is one of my all time favorites hands down. Mr. Marks does an excellent job of documenting his travels and exploits with superb grammatical pose. This book is over 500 pages but is so good you don't want to put it down.

Most people have a biased and influenced oppinion on this subject matter. To them I would say, MR NICE is not a book that glorifies drug dealing. It is however a thrilling read that is often quite exciting.

As Howard will remind you, he is an Oxford graduate; being such, his writing is superb. There's very little rambling. He gets right to the story, seemlessly conveying his philosophy and outlook, while never belabouring the point.

I was reading this book while travelling and found it to be the most fantastic read. I felt more able to wrap my head around things that Howard was talking about. Nothing really out there, just intuitive insight that Howard had experienced.

This book is often anti-Republican, which added to the appeal. I think other readers, with leftist leanings and a desire to know what's going on would really like this. Howard talks about the history, geography, and culture of the places he's visiting, never so much that it's boring, but enough to put you in that moment of time with him.

I think this WAR ON DRUGS account should be of some significance to us, especially while the current WAR ON TERROR's doing its thing.

This book is better than fiction and/or Hollywood. So check it out. It'll make you hip and smart.

A nice book to buy
Mr. Nice is one book that will leave an image on your heart, which will not fade for years to come. This book is an autobiography of a dope smuggler. Ok so what so great about it? The reason this book is full of interesting real life instance is because that dope smuggler who wrote this book happens to be an Oxford Graduate, had links with MI6, CIA, and DEA. Also, this smuggler happens to be doing drug smuggling and money laundering of more than US$ 30 million in mid seventies.

The one thing that makes this book different from so many autobiographies is that Howard Marks has given very deep details of each and every incident. Mr. Marks tells the story of his life with so many details that it takes you to that era when smuggling and money laundering was done in all the big cities.

This book will be liked by many people and can be used best if you are traveling. However, please beware of some explicit content (not vulgar) as it may not be suitable for readers below 15 ages.

A nice book to buy
