EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description Nanomaterials: Synthesis, Properties and Applications provides a comprehensive introduction to nanomaterials, from how to make them to example properties, processing techniques, and applications. Contributions by leading international researchers and teachers in academic, government, and industrial institutions in nanomaterials provide an accessible guide for newcomers to the field. The coverage ranges from isolated clusters and small particles to nanostructured materials, multilayers, and nanoelectronics. The book contains a wealth of references for further reading. Individual chapters deal with relevant aspects of the underlying physics, materials science, and physical chemistry. |
CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 5.0 based on 1 review)
| More than just materials: Good Nanoscale Technology Coverage Incredibly handy as both tutorial and reference. Every chapter worth the price of the book. Brings many diverse areas of nanoscale science and technology together(e.g.- C60 of course, but also subjects such as magnetotactic bacteria and nanoelectro-optics)in a well-organized single volume. Far too much good material to just borrow it from the library. A personal copy is needed so you can annotate the margins with the many ideas and cross-references this book is bound to stimulate. Belongs on your bookshelf next to Dresselhaus' "Science of Fullerenes and Carbon Nanotubes" or open on your desk along with some of Smalley's papers. August 03, 1998 | |
