CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.5 based on 10 reviews)
| One of the best radiology books It's a great book for residents and if you're looking for a general book. Very straight foward. The shoulder, knee and ankle MR section is great for whoever is having a first contact w/ M/E MR.
Worth every penny! May 04, 2008 | | website warning This review is of the website only. The website is falsely advertised.
Most of what is described in the product description still does not exist 2 years after publication. The IMAGE BANK does exist and is downloadable. The INTERACTIVE TEST BANK is still "coming soon." The FULLY SEARCHABLE ANATOMY LIBRARY does not exist but takes you back to the image bank. The CONTINUOUSLY UPDATED IMAGING CASES is a collection of page proofs from a number of the publisher's texts, in no order or organization, and is useless. The publishers claim they update the site monthly with articles but there is no such section. You cannot see this website until you have purchased the book.
In short - they wrote a good book, had great web plans, advertised those plans widely, failed to realize those plans, and now falsely advertise.
April 23, 2008 | | GR8 This is a great textbook to read, easy to swallow.
I think this is a must read for every radiology resident before starting subspecialized books. March 09, 2007 | | Useful resource As a radiation oncologist, I find this book very useful and turn to it on many occasions. I do not need a text that goes into a great deal of depth about all aspects of radiology, but I need a resource to turn to when I find myself having to interpret abnormal pathology on imaging (beyond what the radiologist's report says). This book meets that purpose. It is easy to use, has just enough depth and breadth, and is full of beautiful pictures. I highly recommend it. December 29, 2006 | | Excellent First Read This is an excellent introductory text book in radiology. It contains excellent images and covers the key fundamentals in radiology. It would be ideal for the PGY1 or PGY2 resident to read through to gain familarity in radiology before moving on to the major reference texts. Very readable book that does not overwhelm the junior resident with needless minutia. November 15, 2003 | |
