CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.0 based on 1 review)
| An important and readable book on transgendered & partners "Head over Heals: Women who Stay with Cross-Dressers and Transsexuals" is a provocatively, attention-getting title that is sure to appeal to men who are understandably concerned about what their wives and lovers think of cross-dressing and their transgendered or bi-gendered natures. This book delivers real-world stories, written by wives, about their husbands, their own lives, and how they have evolved through SARAH (Shock, Anger, Resentment, Acceptance, and even Hope). Edited by a sympathetic genetic female Ph.D. who clearly knows a little about the subject, this is a must-read for husbands and wives who want to stay together and learn to not only tolerate, but perhaps even appreciate, gender variances. Some stories are heart-wrenching, some will make you upset at intolerance, and most will leave you thinking that most wives are focused more on their own feelings than their husband's (very difficult) situation, but it is important to note (as we do with Helen Boyd's excellent "My Husband Betty") that crossdressers and T's of various flavors, who are married, are in a tango of two - and it takes two to tango. Recommended. July 07, 2008 | |
