CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.5 based on 6 reviews)

Most sophisticatedly written book on firefighting i've read.
Though dealing with mostly commercial building collapse, the principles are still visible in his writing. This book was a great eye opener to the possibilities inherent in various construction styles and techniques and their relationship to collapse under fire. I have gained great confidence in my abilities through the reading of this book and every firefighter should read this book. One thing disappoints me and that is that this book was written so long ago (1988).

Very informative
Very well written. Alot of good war stories from back in the day. I would recommend this book for someone with 2 years to 20 years of expierence. This book gets straight to the point.

Great read for safety and survival on the fireground.
Great, straight forward read. Very comprhensible, and the scenerios in the beginning of each chapter are great at pulling the reader into the situation at hand.

Excellent Fire Book
This is a very good book for anyone in the fire service. Dunn does an excellent job of putting his life experiences into words. The stories that open every chapter are situations that most firemen can relate to. The only negative I can think of is that there is some repeat information throughout the book.
