| Comprehensive but Poorly Organized and Written This was the book assigned for my Microbio class. It does the job, but since it's poorly written you'll find reading this thing tiring. I didnt know any better so I assumed all Microbio books are like this one. WRONG! Read Clinical Microbiology made Ridiculously Simple. This is a book assigned to Medical/Dental students preparing for the Boards. It's not only very detailed, but organized and super easy to read. They include cartoons to help you memorize all those crazy bacterias and their pathogenesis.
Micro bio made simple is a must have for any microbio class.
If you take this class you'll have tons of lab work. We had 6 hours per week. Which should be a class in itself. Unfortunatly not only did we smell like crap from the crazy bacteria we cultured, but got no credits as well. But that said, Microbio is an extremely important class if you intend on going to medical/dental/pharm school. It'll make your like alot easier. January 06, 2007 | |
