Pool exercises in book especially helpful
I'm in my 4th week since surgery and just got the book last week. I especially got it to read the chapter on pool exercises. Before surgery, I used a lap pool 3 times a week for the last 10 years. I realy missed my pool workout for the 4 weeks waiting for the wound to heal. This is the ONLY resourse I know about that talks about what to do in the water for total knee rehab. I asked my doctor and my P T person for suggestions and both said a pool is great, but didn't help with specific exercises. I have been to the pool 4 times this past week and have slept better with less pain, the nights after the pool workoout. This book is excellent in all reguards. I highly recommend it.

Covers it all!
This book covers everything you can possibly want to know about total knee replacement surgery. It was recommended to me also. It has the answer to every question I could come up with, plus covers things I didn't even think of. It is much more comprehensive than my surgeon was in explaining what to expect, and even gives exercises for before surgery in order to build strength in muscles that will help with recovery afterward.

GREAT BOOK! It is like a medical encyclopedia for Total Knee Replacement surgery.

Get This Book If You Are Considering Knee Replacement Surgery
This book is a wonderful guide for anyone who is either considering knee replacement or has already had the surgery. Any questions and/or doubts that I had were answered clearly by this book. It is a must have for all going through this surgery.

A Must Read Before Surgery
My husband read this book cover-to-cover prior to his knee replacement surgery. He did all the recommended exercises prior to surgery and his surgeon and physical therapist are amazed at his progress just weeks after his replacement. I am ordering more books so he can give them to his friends who are having similar surgeries.

Excellent book for general reference
I bought this book for my mother when it became obvious she was going to eventually need knee replacement surgery. The comprehensive book gave my mother the information she needed to ask intelligent questions of her surgeon in their very brief appointments. She found the pre-operation strengthening exercises to be very helpful. The book was also handy after the surgery when she found some of the odd sensations she experienced during the course of her rehabilitation were normal and nothing to be alarmed about.
