Easy to use for a beginner

I bought this cookbook for my daughter who just moved into her first apartment, on the advice of her sister, for whom I purchased it last year. The recipes are well-explained, the pictures are helpful, and the ingredients aren't so exotic that each recipe requires a special trip to the grocery store. I think this is one of the best basic cookbooks I have seen.

GREAT Cookbook

This cookbook not only has good recipes, but lots of hints on storing fresh vegetables, etc. I highly recommend it!

Taste of Home Cookbook wins!!

Out of my many cookbooks, "The Taste of Home Cookbook" and "The Taste of Home Baking Book" are the ones I always turn to for both good down-home cooking, and also trying new, unique recipes. I often give this book as a gift to newlyweds.

Wonderful

I bought this book as a gift for my grandson's new bride. She's new to cooking. She's had the book almost a year and tells me that it's helped her improve by leaps and bounds. Plain, good food, great pictures. A wonderful first cookbook.

The one book

I love this cookbook. I have to say that TOH is the one book where every recipe I cook comes out exactly like the picture. Not one recipe have I cooked that sounds good has come out bad. This is one that you have to own. I own at least 15 TOH cookbooks and I use them all.
