Great book! Wonderful Doctor!

This book was written in terms that could be understood by all. Everything was well explained and case studies given. I was so impressed with this book and Dr. Platt, that I actually make an appointment to see him. My husband and I traveled clear across the country for our visit and felt it was money well spent. Dr. Platt's visit was very imformative and his staff was extremely friendly. I look forward to being a patient of his for many years to come. I highly recommend reading this book!

Very Informative with lots of information.

I was really suprised that such an inexpensive book could be filled with such valuable information. It even has a test to take and gives a web-site address to a specialist in this field to recommend a plan for you. I found a really great doctor in my local area that I go to regularly now and he has helped me get well. Thank you Amazon, for carrying this book. I have recommended it to others and recommend it to anyone who is having problems, male or female.

THIS BOOK IS LIFE CHANGING !

The Miracle of Bio-Identical Hormones by Michael E. Platt,M.D. is a LIFE CHANGING read! For woman AND men of ALL ages, you will be shocked by the mistakes we are all making in our own health care, and our childrens! I am a Registered Nurse, and after applying the information I received from this book, my health has already improved dramatically, in less than 2 weeks! I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome,Migraines, severe PMS {all my life}and Hypoglycemia.I am somewhat of a "health nut" and thought I knew a lot, forget it, after reading & studying this book, I have learned that many of my unidentified body struggles were/ are related to Hormone and Thyroid Imbalances ! This book addresses MANY male and female health issues including ADD, ADHD, Weight Loss, Osteoporosis, Diabetes and Cholesterol. A Fascinating Book

This fascinating book, written by an internist who became interested in hormones twenty-five years ago when his mother died of cancer, unravels many mysteries of human dis-ease. I found it to be clearly written and wonderfully informative.

This book purports that bio-identical hormones, which are hormones created from plants but which are identical to those produced by the human body, have been manufactured for seventy years and can be obtained by prescription from doctors and pharmacies, but -- according to my understanding -- they cannot be patented by pharmaceutical companies because they are natural. For that reason, pharmaceutical companies would prefer that patients go on their synthetic drugs -- the ones the companies stand to make the money on! And even though the natural hormones are much better, people are routinely placed on synthetic hormones and other drugs that just mask the symptoms and can actually make the patient much sicker in the long run.

Dr. Platt explains this in detail in his book, though it seems his main objective is to explain how natural hormones (especially progesterone) can prevent and heal so many of our common afflictions: obesity, cholesterol, diabetes, ADD and ADHD (which, Dr. Platt explains, are caused by hormone imbalance), not to mention "women's issues" such as cramps, post-partum depression, and the like.

I found this book to be most helpful in understanding health issues, as well as the modern medical profession. I highly recommend it.

Life changing for all Men, Women and Children

Dr. Platt was very straightforward, kind and encourging!!!! I own a business In Rochester, NY> I am contantly reading and trying to improve my health as well as my clients. Most doctors in Rochester are presribing drugs like synthroid(and many more with mind/body altering side effects)in stead of Armour/Nature throid or sustained release t-3. Dr. Platt is not just a Anti-Aging doctor he is a patient advocate.
