EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description Family Guy and Philosophy brings together low-brow, potty-mouthed, cartoon humor and high-brow philosophical reflection to deliver an outrageously hilarious and clever exploration of one of TV’s most unrelenting families. Ok, it’s not that high-brow.
- A sharp, witty and absurd exploration of one of television’s most unrelenting families, the stars of one of the biggest-selling TV series ever on DVD, now in its fourth season
- Tackles the perennial positions of Family Guy at the same time as contemplating poignant philosophical issues
- Takes an introspective look at what this show can teach us about ethics, ego, religion, death, and of course, time-travel
- Considers whether Family Guy is really a vehicle for conservative politics, and whether we should be offended by the show, as well as diving into the philosophy of the cast

CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 3.0 based on 4 reviews)
| Very misleading title. This book is a joke on the reader who bought it online (didn't have a chance to open and see the content before purchasing). Very misleading, ultimately it is a book on philosphy as the title implies and uses Family Guy as a vechile to that end. But ultimately it is not a humor book, it is a philosphy book using family guy to get you to buy it. The author uses the trick of hiding the obvious right in front of your face. Just be warned this book is not a family guy book but ACTUALLY A BOOK ON PHILOSPHY. Don't judge this book by its cover. September 12, 2008 | | Ferdinand Starbuck's Review I didn't know what to expect when I bought this book either but I'm so glad I did! It's really funny and some of his views are pretty interesting. January 01, 2008 | | how can The Family Guy be a borefest? Read this book and find out. I must say that I did not finish this book. Not only did I not read this book, I couldn't make it passed the first chapter. I was looking for excuses to put it down. I am a Family Guy fan. I wish they would take back the rights to their name and take this book off the shelf. November 13, 2007 | | I still think I did a good job I still think I did a good job on this book!
For the reviewer who didn't realize this was a philosophy book: please learn to read. And saying the book isn't funny? Well, he obviously didn't read the index!
And for Marvin: please read the rest of the book. Don't stop after 5 pages and then write a review!
Sheesh!
