Very detailed book for those considering the Lap Band surgery. Has a lot of history about how the product was developed and some insights on how to live with it.

Lap Band Surgery

I really enjoyed the book. I was very helpful because I am in in the process of qualifying for the surgery. This book helped me understand some of the questions to ask my doctor and the nutritionist, and to have some insight of what to expect.

Pretty good book, however all the information in this book is very available on the Internet. So if your well read on this topic this book is going to be repetitive.

Dr. Ortiz Is The BEST!

I had a Lap-Band procedure in April by Dr. Ortiz. What an honor for me. Dr. Ortiz and his staff are the absolute best.I've had weight issues and eating disorders my whole life and now, I feel so much more "normal." The book was so well written. I am forever impressed with Dr. Ortiz's modesty and humbleness. He is an extrordinary doctor and exceptional human being. I would be willing to support anyone in having this procedure done.
