From the supplier: Several personal digital assistants (PDA) re reviewed in terms of their suitability for educators. A PDA uses a touchscreen operated with a small stylus and typically runs one of two operating systems, Palm OS or Windows for Pocket PC. Handspring's Visor is very affordable at $149 for the base model and $249 for the Visor Deluxe and highly functional, but not as flashy as its competitors. Palm's m100 is a sleek unit with color faceplates and small dimensions that make it truly pocket-sized. It sells for $149 and represents the low end of Palm's line, with limited capacity and a grayscale display. The $329 Palm IIIc includes a color display, lots of memory and good desktop tools but is slightly bulky. Compaq's $549 iPaq 3650 Pocket PC runs the Microsoft OS and has a color display, built-in audio and sleek design with lots of RAM and robust functionality; one drawback is lack of a backup battery. Casio's Cassiopeia E-125 Pocket PC costs $549.99 and is very full-featured but not as well designed as the iPaq.
