From the supplier: The earth's coastline areas are suffering from overcrowding, overdevelopment and overexploitation. Pollution, habitat destruction and overfishing have resulted in the degradation of fisheries, paving the way toward malnutrition and disease. Very few coastal management plans are being implemented. Agenda 21 by the UN Conference on Environment and Development has provided for the management of seas and coastal areas. Lack of funding is a major obstacle toward implementing solid programs.
