EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description Finally -- the ultimate diet for fast, safe weight loss, lifelong health, and longer life, based on more than twenty years of research and the latest findings on appetite and weight. Metabolic specialist Ron Rosedale, M.D., has designed the Rosedale Diet to regulate the powerful hormone leptin, which controls appetite and weight loss by telling the brain when to eat, how much to eat -- and when to stop. New research shows that leptin may be one of the body's most important hunger control mechanisms. Control leptin, and you control your weight. Most people's leptin levels are out of control, causing them to overeat and to store fat rather than burn it. The only way to flip the "hunger switch" back to normal is through a diet high in healthy fats and low in carbohydrates, saturated fat, and trans-fatty acids often found in processed food -- plus just 15 minutes of daily exercise. Dr. Rosedale's 21-day diet plan is simple: Just select from the many foods on his "A" list, including "healthy-fat" foods such as avocados, nuts, olives, lobster, crab, shrimp, goat cheese, Cornish game hen, venison, and more. Then gradually add foods from the "B" list, such as steak, lamb chops, fruits, beans, and so on. A 28-day menu plan and more than 100 recipes, such as Dilled Salmon and Fresh Asparagus, Gingery Chicken Soup, Lasagna, Black Bean Wrap, Raspberry Mousse Cake, and French Silk Pie, make eating the Rosedale way deliciously easy. Weight loss is just the beginning. The Rosedale Diet will make you feel satisfied, reduce cravings, and put you in control of your "sweet tooth." It can even help eliminate or reduce heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and other conditions associated with "natural" aging, as many of Dr. Rosedale's patients can attest. You'll find inspiring stories from them -- and the power to control your weight and improve your health -- in this groundbreaking book. |

| best book i ever bought Wonderful book, easy to understand and follow. A new way of eating that brought fast, easy results. September 01, 2008 | | Great info It's good to read about leptin(hormone).Makes complete sense.I'm implementing changes in my diet.It goes together well with other books I read.Great book. June 16, 2008 | | If all other diets have failed, try this one. The Rosedale Diet Book
This diet works. It is the only book that makes it clear that excess protein can be turned into sugar and then into fat. Like all good things, it comes with work, but when all else has failed, this one will work for you. June 15, 2008 | | It Works! I'm a physically, active male over the age of 50 and I had reached the point that it seemed like skipping meals was the only effective means to not gaining weight. And while I could maintain I was often hungry and it was difficult to lose weight. Since practicing the Rosedale diet over about 3 weeks and I admit probably only holding to it about 75% of the time, I have lost 5 pounds. Also, I'm not hungry and I don't feel the urge to eat sweets like I once did. The bonus to the Rosedale Diet is not just the weight loss potential but the many health gains that you'll get on the inside of your body. Eating high fat (but the right kind of fat) may be counterintuitive to what we've been bombarded with by the media but for me it works. May 27, 2008 | | Saved my Life I recently had a heart attack from clogged arteries at age 55 with a cholesterol level of 80 after being on statin drugs for over a year! A pretty big incentive to change my lifestyle and look for other answers. Dr. Rosedale is right - cholesterol does not cause heart attacks. I started on the Rosedale Diet within two weeks of the heart attack, and I have lost 22 pounds within six months, have had no heart pain whatsoever, and feel healthier than ever with blood results that prove it. It was such a relief to find out that there were other solutions than just drugs to recover from a heart attack. I have found the Rosedale Diet easy to adjust to and to stay on, and I plan to LIVE on it from now on. April 04, 2008 | |
