EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description Leachco All Nighter Total Body Pillow The All Nighter Total Body Pillow is one of the best models of pregnancy pillow on the market. It is one of the only, if not the only model of pregnancy pillow with two different shapes for support. The body pillow from Leachco was designed by a registered nurse to meet the needs of expectant and new mothers. It is the total body maternity pillow. The body pillow from Leachco features three specially designed shapes which connect to work together as one and lend support. The All Nighter features a shorter, wider section for upper body support. In the middle of the body pillow is a longer, rounder section for shoulders, back, buttocks and legs. The Leachco body pillow lends support for carpal tunnel syndrome, hemorrhoids and gastric reflux to name a few. This maternity pillow is great even after pregnancy ends. It is a great body pillow for any adult. |
CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.0 based on 76 reviews)
| Great pillow! by CAreviewer 4 Stars October 28, 2009 I bought this pillow around 19 weeks right before I was supposed to stop sleeping on my back. I had been using a body pillow and another pillow behind my back. This worked so much better! It keeps me on my side and I am comfortable. The only reason I am not giving this pillow 5 stars is because the material of the pillow case is a little rough if you are used to sleeping on soft sheets and is a pain to take off of the pillow. Still, a great buy, considering I am usually a stomach sleeper. Oh, and it works fine in a queen bed. I bought this instead of some of the others because I thought they might be too big for a queen.
| | Makes it hard to swtich sides by U. Upadhyay (Baltimore, MD) 2 Stars September 25, 2009 I purchased this pillow but ended up returning it because it was a little too flat all around for me. I need more head support. Also I didn't like that if I switched sides I had to turn the whole thing over--it's a bit heavy. I purchased Leachco's back 'n belly pillow instead which I'm happy with.
| | Great pillow for pregnancy by E. Rudy (Philadelphia, PA) 5 Stars July 11, 2009 I bought this pillow when I was only 10 weeks along in my pregnancy. I am now at 33 weeks, and I've only spent one (miserable) night without this pillow over the past 23 weeks.
I was a little worried when I read the reviews before buying. Some people mention that the head piece cuts into their shoulders. I solved this by simply putting a regular pillow over that area, and it doesn't bother me at all. The covers are a little hard to put back on, but my husband was able to do so on several occasions without problems.
The comfort that I get out of this pillow greatly outweighs any possible negative sides. As I've come along with my pregnancy, the pillow provides a lot of support for my back and belly at the same time, allowing me to actually get a good night's sleep. I found it more than worth the money for what get out of this pillow. It's a great buy and highly recommended.
| | smart design but takes up a lot of room by Shannon B Davis (Arlington, MA United States) 4 Stars June 02, 2009 This is a great pillow and I doubt I could have slept as well through pregnancy without it. However, it is not spouse friendly! I wouldn't want to live without it now, but buyers should be aware of the downsides and what they may have to sacrifice in order to use this pillow - like snuggling. People who highly prioritize snuggling may prefer a single-sided body pillow.
Pros:
There are so many different positions! Usually I sleep on my left side hugging the long side of the pillow. When I want to switch sides, I curl the long side so that it can keep cushioning my knees and hug the short side. It is also great for proppping up your back and you can curl the long side around to be an under-knee support or foot rest. The booklet that comes with it even describes a way to use this for breastfeeding.
Very comfortable pillow - evenly filled with fluffiness.
Comes with its own pillow-cover - with this odd shape, you do not want to have to buy one.
The short side provides great back support - or if you want to lie on your back during pregnancy, you can prop it up under your right hip to be in a proper position to prevent the uterus from being on top of your vena cava.
Cons:
Spouse complains that it takes up the whole bed. Indeed, in our queen sized bed, the pillow plus me takes up three times as much as I used to.
Harder to cuddle - if you were used to spooning, this pillow gets in the way.
Too lofty to really rest your belly on it, which I'm told can be nice.
More difficult to get in and out of bed especially once you are very pregnant - always have to pull the pillow back into bed and re-arrange.
| | Do not buy this pillow!!! by A. Clark (Los Angeles, CA) 1 Stars May 11, 2009 This is the worst pillow. [...]The cover is so uncomfortable and I wanted no part of it to touch my skin. It feels like cheap starched motel sheets. Also the curved neck part is sewn so tight that it digs into your neck and there is no belly support as it is thick all over. It feels like it gives good back support and I didn't find it too big but I'm going to get a wedge instead for belly and back support and use my nice soft pillow for my head. I would not recommend this pillow at all.
