I didn't think this item would make a big impression, but it has proven to be a really great way to save space in our freezer. I exclusively breastfeed but I have been pumping a few ounces each day since our son was about three weeks old. I use Medela and Gerber bags and both fit in the container. I freeze 1-3 ounces in each bag. I love the way the container squeezes the bags so that they freeze flat. I have about 20 Medela and 10 Gerber bags in the container and I still have about 1/3 of space left. The Gerber bags are slightly taller but still fit in the container with the lid on. If you are considering buying this item, but aren't sure, I would say go for it. I didn't think it would make a big difference, but it has because it isn't just a storage container, it is also a great way to initially freeze the bags flat.

I have a newborn, and for two months now I've been pumping and storing extra milk in the freezer. The bags have been strewn all over the top shelf. I just purchased this a couple of days ago and it's WONDERFUL. I like that it comes with an easily removable lid, that if used will let you stack other organizers on top of it in the freezer. I'm using the lid as another organizer, for now.
I will say that Amazon.com's price is a bit high. You can purchase it from Babies-R-Us for a lot less...it retails there for $16.99.

This works great for storing different brands of milk storage bags like Lansinoh and the First Years. You can even flip the cover over and use that to store the already frozen and flattened bags. It keeps the bags protected so they don't get banged up in the freezer and leak later.

The organizer seems to hold its purpose which for me was to hold all of my frozen milk it one compartment (without being all over the freezer). However i did not think it held the bags upright very well. I had to just throw them in the case however they would fit.

I thought this was a really great idea to organize all of my breastmilk after working so hard to pump it all. Well, I purchased this along with the Lansinoh bags, which I preferred over the First Years bags because they were BPA free and sturdier. Well, even though the Lansinoh bags are better, they don't exactly fit this organizer - they are slightly wider than the container. So, when the milk is being put into the organizer, the sides of the bags get squeezed and, ultimately, in my case, have caused tears in the bags.
So, when I go to defrost bags in the fridge, I notice that they always leak. Now I have to put the bags in an additional ziploc bag to defrost them so that I don't lose all of the precious milk.
What I have started doing is putting the freshly pumped milk into the freezer laid flat, and then, once it is frozen, putting it into the organizer on an angle without using the retractable flattening thing in the container. You can't store as much, but I use the lid as an additional tray and I can store more that way.
