Product Description
Ear infections can be difficult to detect, especially if your child isn't old enough to tell you what hurts. The EarCheck Monitor takes the worry and guesswork out of determining if there's fluid in your child's middle ear, a key symptom of an ear infection. EarCheck uses the same patented acoustic reflectometry technology recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Sound waves are sent down the ear canal and advanced electronics analyze the echo of the sound to determine the presence of middle ear fluid. Simple to use, it works just like an ear thermometer in three easy steps: With your child in an upright position, gently pull back ear; place the monitor in the outer ear canal; press and hold the scan button. In seconds, the LCD display indicates the likelihood of fluid on a scale of one to five with color-coded level indicators. |
