I bought one set of these thinking the snap on lid would be convenient for when I left the house. I've been making my son's food for 3 months now and two of the containers have already cracked and thus tossed in the garbage. I also have been using ice cube trays. They are the BEST container to freeze your homemade food for baby. I cook up batches of veggies, fruits, and meats once a month. I freeze in ice cube trays, and store in labeled ziplock bags. Pull a cube out, put in a bowl and zap in microwave. Add water and cereal if you like and you have a super nutritious meal for your little one. Oh, and when I leave the house...I just toss a food cube or two in a bowl with a lid. These baby cubes are overpriced and defective. Go to Target or Wal-Mart and buy a few ice cube trays and ziplocks (that you can reuse) and you are good to go. Trust me.
