Very interesting poin of view
| | Containing only aimless mytho-babble by Jyriii 1 Stars July 28, 2009 I didn't like this book! It was supposed to be some kind of a psychological interpretation of the "Tristan and Iseult" story. -But blaah, a bad one it is, certainly. Containing only loads of annoying, aimless mytho-babble... And do not read this book if you haven't read the story (like I).
| | we is by Suzette Peyton (Middle Tennessee) 5 Stars June 18, 2009 I met my husband while he was in the middle of reading this. He told me about it. I haven't finished it, but we are living happily ever after now.
I am dying to revisit and finish the book but what will happen this time?
| | We: The Psychology of Romantic Love by Janet R. Snyder 5 Stars May 10, 2009 Even if you are not a Jungian follower, this book will give you helpful insights into your relationships and motivations behind behaviors.
| | love becomes complicated by Georgia Edwards (cave creek arizona) 4 Stars April 08, 2009 i have always stayed away from mythical stuff. It just is not of interest to me. However, in the understaning of romantic love, Tristan and Iseult's love had to be explained in the Jungian way. One needs to develop the masculine and feminine side of self to be able to see it in the other who we are romatically in love with. The intregation of this principal is the basis for the book. Romantic love can be more ego. true love is the combination of all aspect of one to reflect into the other. The soul.
The 201 page book is an easy read when one understands all the definitions of the aspects of self/soul/ego. love compliments each other.
Also, interesting there is a chapter on the white buffalo woman spirit. A white buffalo was born on a bison ranch in janesville wisconsin many years ago. it did change all 4 colors. The gift shop had a memorial to this spirit woman as she spoke of the world to come.
I did not read the complimentary books caled HE and SHE.
