Definitely worth the money! by S. E. Hamilton 5 Stars

The Lange case files books are great, the pediatric one included. Putting this information into a case really helps make it memorable and manageable.

Good for clinic by Kasia (Philly, PA) 3 Stars

This book explains diseases very clearly and is easy to read. It's good to read during your Pediatric rotation to give you a basic understanding of the most common diseases. However, the Shelf tests are notoriously hard, so don't make Case Files your sole study tool.

Easy to Read by K. Ware (Venice, CA) 4 Stars

I used this book as the sole source for my shelf study, and got a 77 on the shelf exam - not great, but definitely passing. It's a fairly absorbing book, can be read in a few sittings without a big problem. Obviously someone truly interested in pediatrics would buy a more complete textbook, but this is nice, with vignettes, bold print for the big points, and questions to test your understanding at the end of each chapter.

Read it a week or two before the test by M. Pinoli (Texas Tech) 5 Stars

If you have to take a test in the clinical years of medical school you should read case files for every subject. This is a great way to move from text book to cases after reading a review book and before doing practice questions.

So thankful for this series by Rosalyn Franklin 5 Stars

This series is great and the peds is an excellent sampling of some common ped's cases with helpful diagrams and pictures in some cases. The style is easily adapted to wards and can be a quick read. This series is not to be used solely on a clinical rotation. Rather it should be used in addition to other supplementary material.
