Neurology update by Saul Cypel (São Paulo, Brazil) 5 Stars
July 13, 2009
Before purchased this bokk was important to know what edition and year of publication because I have an old edition. My intention is to update the my neurologic knowledge as I am a Professor, Than, it would be important as well to have more information about all the issues inside the book, more details about them, even if they would be abstracts.

old,good Adams by V. Alessandro 5 Stars

a txtbook not for students. it's the best one-volume txbook of neurology and its aim is talking abt neurology not to a beginner. just to remeber, it's the clinical practice the best teacher telling you what is important to remember or not. ADAMS IS a txt to read after a couple of year of clinical exp.rnc. First step: try with Merrit or Goetz, very didascalic. Adams is on another step. post script.....it's fantastic to read someone talking about the professionality of Ropper and Samuels.

This is a "must have" book for neuropathologists too! by Brian E. Moore (Central Illinois) 5 Stars

I am not a neurologist; but as a neuropathologist, I work with them often. I find myself reaching for "Adams and Victor" as frequently as I do my pathology textbooks! I have access to this book for free electronically through my medical library, but its so much easier to have a hard copy within reach. I am not a technophobe; I just think that sometimes a tangible book is just more efficient. One more thing: the price for this book is ridiculously low given the incredible amount of information that is packed into it.

Neurology Textbook by Neville Auths (Bloemfontein, South Africa) 4 Stars
March 12, 2008
Good textbook for Neurology registrars. Written by only two authors it gives the text a more consistent approach compared to other texts. The font is big enough and doesn't strain ones eyes during those late nights of studying. What I like is the introductory review of the anatomy and physiology of the appropriate section at the start of each chapter. This saves one having to open another book to look for that information. Obvious disadvantage is with such a large quantity of work it is a heavy book - so you cannot carry it around in a brief case.

Good information but very judgemental  by S. Hoover (Nashville, TN) 3 Stars

Good information but the authors put their own 2 cents in when it would better if they would remain objective. To me that was not very professional.
