The text book was in great condition and I received it within the scheduled time frame.

CD-Rom didn't work by Kristen Adams 2 Stars

The book came wrapped and was as advertised, however the social sense cd-rom that came with it, did not work, in multiple computers, or with different operating systems.

For a textbook, it's actually pretty decent. However, face it: you're buying this for a class so you really don't have a choice. by M. Gabbitas (Provo, UT) 4 Stars

So, you're taking Social Psychology and this is the book that made it through the stringent textbook selection and review process, and now you find yourself blessed with the opportunity to pay 3x what a book is worth, because it's a textbook! Lucky you. Well, at least if you buy it here you'll save another $35 over what your campus bookstore wants you to pay for it. Go for it, I say! Stick to the man!

The book took almost a month to get here and I received a different edition than the one offered.

Good book, lousy CD-ROM and Study Guide by K. A. Tappe (Philadelphia, PA United States) 3 Stars
September 24, 2008
I'm using this textbook to teach an undergraduate introductory course. The text is engaging and interesting. I sometimes wonder about the organization of the chapters, though - it often seems a bit disjointed. As others have written, the CD-ROM is almost unusable. It will not run straight from the CD-ROM as it should on Windows XP - you need to hack into it by forcing your CD-ROM drive to show the files (right click, "browse..."), then choosing one of the .htm or .html files (I think "browser_check.html" was the one I succesfully used) to get it to function a little. Then you MIGHT be able to see the videos for each chapter - but even there, Quicktime often crashes. (I suspect the CD-ROM has not been updated for about 4 versions of Quicktime.) From what I could see from the videos, they are not terribly useful anyway, and I am not using them in my class - there is PLENTY of material on Youtube for this purpose. The Study Guide is only useful if you plan on memorizing each chapter word for word - some of the questions are ridiculously specific, and I would never, as an instructor, expect students to know this level of detail from the text. Oh, and the author does not even attempt to hide his liberal bias. Just ignore it (if you need to) and learn from his extensive knowledge.

Statistics for the Behavioral and Social Sciences (4th Edition)
by Arthur Aron (Author), Elaine N. Aron (Author), Elliot Coups (Author)

Here, in the fourth edition of Statistics for the Behavioral and Social Sciences, the authors have refined their text by building off an already well-established approach - emphasizing the intuitive, deemphasizing the mathematical, and explaining everything in direct, simple language - but also going beyond these principles to both further student understanding and stimulate the long-suffering community of statistics instructors. By using definitional formulas to emphasize the concepts...
