The experienced author has gathered a huge amount of accurate and readable information of the subject otherwise offering a vast bibliographic referencies list. It deals not only with migration but also with vagrancy, irruptions and the related topics. An educational and enjoyable book including lots of good species examples, tables and graphics. One runs the risk to be trapped reading for hours.

It's written in a very easy to follow but still scientic style. The amount of information in this book is amazing.
The author really knows how to write and explain his subject.
I could go on and praise every chapter, but I will just write that this is a must have book for every birder and ornithologist who is interested in bird migration.
