| Good Chem Book by Aline Soares 4 Stars October 01, 2009 Its a good chemistry book. Gives you exercies with the answer at the end of each chapter so you can practice.
| | Good book! by Tim Keener (Oneonta, Alabama) 5 Stars September 21, 2009 Format is very helpful. The book is written from a purely introductory perspective that assumes no previous knowledge of chemistry. It is a great book for intro to chemistry. The format has practice questions after each section which enables the student to reinforce new concepts soon after their introduction. Answers are listed at the end of each chapter.
I recommend this book!
| | "student access kit not included!!!!!" by uheartjdiamond (sacramento,ca) 1 Stars August 31, 2009 the description on the book says"if purchased new, access kit is included" but this book i purchased is new but there's no access kit. while reviewing other's comments regarding this matter, this doesn't happen once and the amazon management doesn't do anything about it about misleading a costumer on their product description. And also,i bought my books for$138.32 and two days later it went down to $124 I called the costumer service regarding price adjustment, there's no respond. I'm very, very, very disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!
| | Chemistry book by S. Perry (Buffalo, NY USA) 4 Stars June 26, 2009 The book is very helpful in that after each chapter there are a series of questions in which the answers to odd's are behind the chapter. it helps you know that you did the problem corectally, and/or what you did wrong so you cant get the right answer next time. over all, GOOD BOOK!
| | DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK HERE FOR THE CLASS by Kent C. Hawkins (North Carolina) 4 Stars May 14, 2009 The book actually looks pretty good. But....
Do not buy the book from Amazon. I bought it new and from Amazon, not the marketplace bookstores.
Pearson a part of Prentice Hall will not include the code that you may need to get online and take the class. They want you to buy it seperate for $44.50 or go through your school bookstore. Amazon was awfull. Not only is it not listed that there will be no code. Customer Service only wants to return the book or give you $23. Maybe, I don't know since the form email is conflicting. Either that or I am to wait seven real days (not biz days) for the Amazon cust. rep to think about this situation. Of course class starts in 5 days and I am completely broke with my checking overdrawn. Sucks...I am now hearing stories about the same issue from other students. BEWARE OF AMAZON because they buy third party books and the Publishers do not want them in the biz. The losers are students.
