A Good Guide to REAL "Air Fresheners" by Liberty G (Providence, RI) 5 Stars

How to Grow Fresh Air: 50 House Plants that Purify Your Home or Office The EPA has found that indoor air is far more polluted than outdoors. Commercial "air fresheners" are the most deceptive product sold - they contain toxic chemicals that are asthmagens, carcinogens, endocrine disrupters - and more. How to Grow Fresh Air offers details about plants that actually remove contaminants from the air, naturally, and are decorative too! A win-win. Most useful are the pages with pictures of the plants combined with how to care for them, what chemicals they remove, etc. Learn more about toxics in everyday life and products and on healthier alternatives at the website of my organization, Toxics Information Project (TIP): [...]

Highly informative and valuable book by Everyman 5 Stars

I needed to purify and humidify the air in my highly insulated home in New England. Since my knowledge and even awareness of the power of house plants to do exactly that was non-existent, "How To Grow Fresh Air" is a godsend. It is authoritative and comprehensive, and its rating system based on the most important criteria, especially "removal of chemical vapors" (viz, effectiveness), is superb. This book is worth several times what I paid for it.

to the point, easy! by Fishell AZ (AZ) 5 Stars

Very to the point, don't have to read ten pages to find the info. If you want to buy plants to help the quality of the air in your home but don't know anything about plants, I would recommend this book!!!

Excellent information - need a Kindle version - save trees! by Corene (California) 5 Stars

I enjoyed this book. It gets straight to the point, instead of leading up to the lead up... The book is a soft cover that has held up for many years. The pictures are gorgeous, and the charts are very easy to understand, as well as the illustrations. Most of the plants you can find just about anywhere and do not require too much attention. This would be a great house-warming gift, along with a nicely potted plant.
