| Excellent !!! Covers everything (almost)!!! 5 Stars January 28, 2003 As a beginner in the area of fMRI research (just started my Ph.D.- engineering - image analysis), I found this book to be a complete and comprehensive intro to the subject, written by the leaders in this field form all over the world. It covers everything in the right amount to give you an understanding of what is involved in Functional MRI. However, no one book can cover everything in this subject just because of its multidisciplinary nature that ranges from neuroscience to engineering and physics. It also covers some areas more in more depths than others. I found the physics part to be a little weak and not very well explained. The rest of the book is just Excellent. If you need to go deeper into any one single subject like neuroscience, physiology, image registration ...etc the book will point you in the right direction to get this info from the top people in their respective fields.

| Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Second Edition by Scott A. Huettel (Author), Allen W. Song (Author), Gregory McCarthy (Author)
This textbook provides a true introduction to functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), which has become the dominant research technique in cognitive neuroscience. Although there is extraordinary interest in fMRI among researchers, instructors, and students alike, its instruction has faced a set of challenges. Existing texts are targeted toward practicing scientists in the field, and assume a level of expertise not possessed by most students. Furthermore, most students do not have access to...

| Introduction to Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging: Principles and Techniques by Richard B. Buxton (Author)
Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) has become a standard tool for mapping the working brain's activation patterns, both in health and in disease. It is an interdisciplinary field and crosses the borders of neuroscience, psychology, psychiatry, radiology, mathematics, physics and engineering. Developments in techniques, procedures and our understanding of this field are expanding rapidly. In this second edition of Introduction to Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Richard Buxton -...

| Introduction to Diffusion Tensor Imaging by S. Mori (Author)
The concept of Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI) is often difficult to grasp, even for Magnetic Resonance physicists. Introduction to Diffusion Tensor Imaging uses extensive illustrations (not equations) to help readers to understand how DTI works. Emphasis is placed on the interpretation of DTI images, the design of DTI experiments, and the forms of application studies. The theory of DTI is constantly evolving and so there is a need for a textbook that explains how the technique works in a way...
