| Train your brain! by M. Parker (Rock Hill, SC) 5 Stars November 02, 2009 My psychologist suggested I read this book due to bouts of depression, anxiety and what I'll call automatic thoughts that seemed to spiral downward at times. This book is more than simply cognitive retraining. The concepts are simple for the most part but difficult to put into practice if you've battled negativity often. The amount of scientific research put into this book is quite impressive. There was a lot of information to process and I plan to read it again and follow some of the exercises that take some real effort.
Anyone who has struggled with negativity and depression will get a lot out of this book. It's not "just" another self help book.
| | Positivity book by Milton O. Campbell (USA) 5 Stars October 19, 2009 My book purchase was quick, easy and I am very pleased with the book and vendor.
| | positivity by William D. Sommers (hillsborough,nc) 5 Stars September 12, 2009 This book is actually a text book for a college class.Despite this, it is extremely well written and contains research findings and plain talk explanations. This is not a new age anecdotal waste of time. It is a wonderful and useful experience.
| | POSITIVITY by Sheila Pearl (Newburgh, NY, USA) 5 Stars September 11, 2009 One of the BEST books I have read and USED for my personal and professional enhancement. It is clear, powerful, and cutting-edge material for the support of people who are ready to SEE their world differently, more positively, and thereby TRANSFORM their lives in the process! Thank you Barbara! Sheila Pearl, Life Coach
| | Your "GO TO" book on being positive! by Loving Life (Henderson, NV USA) 5 Stars August 30, 2009 This book is fabulous! I would recommend this book to anyone having difficulty staying on the positive side of the fence in life. I faced a major illness and this book helped me to keep the negative thoughts out of my mind. It helped me move forward in my daily life in a positive way. I would give this book to any of my friends that seemed down, had major issues, were facing challenges. It is a wonderful book to renew your perspective on yourself and the people around you and if you choose, you can adjust your life with the evidence based strategies. A five star book, better than any book I have ever read. If I were looking for one book to read this year, this would be it!

| A Primer in Positive Psychology by Christopher Peterson (Author)
Positive psychology is the scientific study of what goes right in life, from birth to death and at all stops in between. It is a newly-christened approach within psychology that takes seriously the examination of that which makes life most worth living. Everyone's life has peaks and valleys, and positive psychology does not deny the valleys. Its signature premise is more nuanced, but nonetheless important: what is good about life is as genuine as what is bad and, therefore, deserves equal...
