Great Balance Between Western and Eastern Medicines by L. Nelson (Virginia) 5 Stars
October 24, 2009
Having battled with infirtility for a while now, I went to a fertility clinic for all the tests and found out that medicinally, I am fine. Great news, but we are still not pregnant. This book has opened my eyes to the science and tradition of Chinese Medicine. It is written by a "Westerner" that has many degrees, so she intellectually presents the information with both Western and Eastern philosophies. I highly recommend this book to people that are tired of being poked and prodded and pumped full of synthetic hormones. I will be starting my acupuncture treatments with my next cycle and am looking forward to it!

a true believer by C. Schlosser (Pekin Illinois) 5 Stars

I purchased Randine's book about a year ago and read it cover to cover many times. I have been diagnosed with stage 1 endometriosis and had it removed about 1 1/2 years ago. I had been going to my doctor for some time and he now cannot find anything wrong with me but still...no baby. So about 2 months ago I decided enough was enough I am pinching ever penny I can and going to one of Randine's doctors she works with across the US. I can honestly say I have not felt this good in years. There are changes in my body that amaze me every day!! If you have problems with trying to conceive do NOT doubt the power of the unknown. Randine spells it out for you in this book. It is very well written and easy for anyone even without a medical degree to understand. Every time I read pages of it I learn more and more about my body and things I can change. When you read it and take the questionaires in the book the "light" will come on and you will finally see why you are not getting pregnant. It has only been 6 weeks since I started going this new docter but WOW! I have faith and believe again...and in a positive way that does not consume my total existence.

Good book BUT DO NOT buy Kindle version by L. Abril-Sjogren (West New York, NJ) 3 Stars
October 17, 2009
I think the book has a lot of offer for those looking for alternative solutions to infertility or who want to add solutions to what they are already trying out. One the best things I have gotten from it is making myself healthy physcially. It offers common sense advice like how to eat better and why. The information is very intensive but I appreciate the detail. Some of the advice is difficult to follow but I just take it with a grain of salt. I try to implement what I can and what I have been able to implement has made a difference in my health. I feel better because I have more energy overall throught the day. I have yet to try the guided imagery and acpuncture. I have tried a little of the acupressure and I am not sure about that aspect of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Of course, I may be applying it incorrectly. If you are interested in the book, buy the regular paperback. DO NOT buy the Kindle version since it has typos and the illustrations are not good quality. This is not the case with the paperback version which I ended up buying and recommended with 4 stars. The typos were annoying because I could not figure out some of the words at first. Not to mention that simple proofreading should have been performed instead of rushing out a Kindle version of the book. The illustrations and charts are a light gray and are impossible to decipher. The charts are particulary important because you would need good quality charts to make copies of in order to chart your cycles. (Even if the charts were good quality, I do not know that can make copies off a Kindle. I am personally afraid to try because I may mess up the screen.) The questions used to diagnosis you are also on a chart so you cannot even answer those questions. It was so frustrating! If you made the mistake of buying the Kindle version you can download the questions and cycle chart from the author's website and click on New Patients: [...].

Idea in progress by Stephanie Parmely 4 Stars

I like the ideas presented in the book. They make sense - heal the body and you will become more fertile. I can't yet claim to see results from the book as I am still not pregnant, but it has only been a month.

It worked...baby boy due next month! by Lara E. Eventide (Durham, NC) 5 Stars

After a year an a half of infertility and with western doctors offering me clomid and IUIs I decided to find a different way to solve this problem. Once I found this book it was new hope like I never felt. I bought it, changed my diet, did acupuncture once a week, yoga twice a week, and then lost my stressful job and within 5 months I was overjoyed with the news that only two little lines can bring you. I highly recommend this book. It has made my dream come true.
