CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 5.0 based on 21 reviews)
| Cheaper than a consult, and faster to get to! by A. Sherman (Mobile, AL) 5 Stars July 08, 2009 I'm a family practice doc in Alabama. It takes 6 months to get a dermatology appointment here. With this book and my general/plastic surgeon, I can treat 95% of skin lesions myself. The pictures make it easy to show to doubting patients that I know what their rash is, and the treatment plans, medications, and algorithims are state of the art. I consider myself a pretty fair amateur dermatologist now, and my patients are pleased they don't have to go to the time and trouble of a consult. A must-have book for any generalist!
| | Needs to be on every shelf by Dermatology Associates (NY NY USA) 4 Stars March 28, 2009 This has been an excellent reference book for myself and my colleagues in a busy Derm practice.
There is no way to learn it all or see and this reference comes in very handy when you get a tough case.
It is a bit expensive but this seems to be the nature of anything that is sold to doctors.
| | Great Book, Great Price, Fast Shipping by Gehrig Harris, MD (Columbus, GA) 5 Stars November 28, 2008 This book is essential to my medical practice and it was great to get so fast and at a good price!
| | Worth having on the shelf by APRN (Atlanta GA) 4 Stars June 04, 2008 The text is a wonderful reference for pictures of covered conditions, the only side note being a lack of good coverage for ethnic skin (there is a another book covering just that) and the photographs are in most cases showing advanced or extreme examples. Overall, a great book to have on hand in primary care.
| | Best Book for a Derm Rotation by L. Tope 4 Stars February 09, 2008 If you are a medical student doing a derm rotation or plan on entering a primary care residency, this book is THE book to own. I wouldn't have minded having the online edition, but with not knowing when the new edition would come out (and subsequently when the online subscription would run out), it didn't seem to be worth the money.
