Great book for any acute care setting. by D. Card (Seattle, WA) 5 Stars
October 03, 2009
I am a Doctor is a busy Urgent Care clinic. Most of the topics were not new for me but I found several great suggestions and ideas that I'd never considered before. It's great to get a refresher of the basics and a new perspective on treating acute illness or injuries. I've already used several practical suggestions from the book--I'm always glad to have new pearls of wisdom and this book is loaded with them. The book is very straight-forward and easy to read. And, like many others have stated before, having the "what to do" and "what not to do" approach makes quick referencing so easy while patients are still in the clinic. I'd highly recommend this book, it's definitely worth the cost and a must for any acute care medical setting.

great for office proceedures that you perform infrequently by Kathleen M. Powers (Manahawkin, New Jersey United States) 5 Stars

This is a very good resource for office practitioners who sometimes need a little refreshment on proceedures, GOes over them in enough detail to guide and I really like it, had the previous version.

portable reference guide by John Anthony Mosby 5 Stars

I use this clinical office practice guide frequently, and just having it available provides me a confidence in my practice. Of course, pricing, delivery and product integrity were as good as other products I've purchased through Amazon.com. I am amazed by the variety of accessibly priced quailty products available at that site.

Good resource by ER NP (Omaha, NE) 5 Stars

This is a good resource. Provides good information on many topics, and provides specific information.

Just what you've been looking for. by Tsoko's Dad (Albuquerque, NM USA) 5 Stars
October 24, 2008
Just as the introduction promises, full of just what you wanted to know about all the things that are too simple to be taught in medical school or on your ER rotation, but that you nevertheless weren't born knowing. As a recent graduate from Family Medicine residency, I keep this with me anywhere I'm seeing patients. This book came recommended to me, so I didn't shop around much, but I can't imagine a better urgent care reference. It also has most of what you need for office procedures, though still doesn't replace "procedures for primary care" by pfenninger and Fowler.
