EDITORIAL REVIEWS

Product Description
The success of any operative procedure is dependent, in part, on the surgeon’s knowledge of anatomy. From the first incision to closure of the wound, it is essential to understand the fascial layers, blood supply, lymphatic drainage, nerves, muscles and organs relevant to the operative procedure. Surgical Anatomy and Technique: A Pocket Manual covers the anatomic regions pertinent to general surgeons and also describes the most commonly performed general surgical techniques. New to this edition are sections on abdominal aortic aneurysm, femoropopliteal bypass, carotid endarterectomy, hysterectomy and oopherectomy, and the entire book has been updated to reflect current surgical approaches. Medical students and residents will find this book to be an excellent way to prepare for a case, and more experienced surgeons will appreciate the anatomic review and contemporary approaches to common surgical problems.

i bought this for my husband, who is a surgical assistant. he mentioned that this book is practically the horn book on surgery, though we were thrown off by the description of "(lecture notes in mathematics)". thankfully the book arrived complete as viewed from the image, but for the life of us, we still do not know what the lecture in notes in mathematics is supposed to refer to.

This is an important reference for medical students and residents. It is helpful for developing an understanding of the anatomy of classic general surgery cases. Wonderful bridge from medical school classroom to the operating room.

This is an excellent book! Outlining the steps of general surgery procedures, explaining significant anatomy to know and vessels to watch out for. This is a must have for any surgical student! The size is also good, can't be carried in the pocket but small enough to bring into the surgical suites.

This book serves as the guide to surgical pimping for medical students. This allowed me to enter cases with a clear understanding of the anatomy of the case and an incite into the techniques that we would be using.
