CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.5 based on 5 reviews)
| A thyroid cancer patient's best source by utahmomma (Utah) 5 Stars October 20, 2009 I purchased this book while going through a recurrence of my thyroid cancer; the information and research in this book are invaluable. Finding the "cutting edge" treatments helped me, and my doctor, discuss better treatments and change my treatment plan. This book has also been a great resource for my thyroid cancer support forums ([...]) as it covers all four types of thyroid cancer and their treatments. This book is a *must* for any thyroid cancer patient who needs to understand their condition further; who has metastases or a recurrence; or who is suffering from one of the more aggressive forms of thyroid cancer.

| | Update: Good content and service from Amazon by Gamal Akabani (Germantown, MD) 3 Stars December 06, 2007 This book is essential for those doing thyroid research; however, my book came out with more than 50 blank pages making it difficult to read and follow. Publication quality was very bad.
Update: I requested a new book from Amazon and got it with excellent quality and no missing pages. I used this book as a reference and immediate use.
| | Very Informative by C. Murphy (Boston, MA) 5 Stars May 25, 2007 As a thyroid cancer patient, on a mission to educate myself, I find this book extremely helpful. Many doctors do not hesitate to tell their thyroid cancer patients that thyroid cancer is "the best cancer to have." I hear what the doctors are saying, but with this book I learn how to respect thyroid cancer. It can help to empower me to better take care of myself, and give me further understanding into my own treatment.
| | Practical Guidelines for a Complex Problem by Jeffrey Gilroy 5 Stars September 28, 2006 I have recently started treating thyroid patients and have found this book to be a fantastic resource. It is well organized and gives straight forward guidelines for the practicing physician to manage these patients. This book is really the only resource you will need to treat this complex patient population.
