Common Sense 1 Stars
April 27, 2001
This might be one of the worst books I have been assigned to read as a medical student. I could barely concentrate long enough to get through a single chapter. Most of the book is pure common sense with some Psychology 101 thrown in.This is an important topic and has great meaning in physician training, but it is a very boring read. THe sentence structure and word usage went way overboard. I could have condensed this book down to half its size by using simpler terms. Plus the author continually makes short statements about a subject and then includes a line that it is "discussed further in chapter..." - how annoying!

I am a 1st year medical student and I found this book both informative and interesting. It is very usefull when beginning human behaviour and I would recommend any medical student who is doing a degree which requires them to learn about the doctor - patient relationship to by it. chou.
