CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.5 based on 4 reviews)
| Recommended for AP residents by Antibody_x (Minnesota) 5 Stars October 06, 2009 You can leave the Crum for more in-depth consults but you can take this one with you on your surg path rotations. This series has good gems, also recommended the volumes on Breast, Heme, Soft Tissue, GI and Renal. Other residents in my program also recommended the Head & Neck volume. Typical of this series: excellent organization and highlights of important points.
| | Good so far, but... by Taher Reza Kermanshahi 4 Stars September 23, 2009 In general I liked the foundation series a lot. I love thier summurized boxes. It is also well organized and have a lot of pictures which ,I have to agree with a previous review, are not really clear. However, this book doesn't have a chapter about placental pathology, which I found really unexcusable. If you are going to talk about placental pathology, then what book is better than the GYN book?!
Overall I like the book, and I am actually planning to get all the book in the series for my library.
| | Good, but not great by Brian Davis 4 Stars April 20, 2009 Foundations in Diagnostic Pathology is a great book series. The format, text and layout are great. However, I do have one serious complaint: why in this age of imaging do they continue to allow a few pixelated or out of focus photos make it into their printed books? Most of the images are very good, but every once in a while you'll come across an image that is so bad it makes the old black and white images in Blaustein's Pathology of the Female Genital Tract seem high tech. Bottom line - would I recommend this book? YES.
| | highly recommended by L. Forrest (hoover, al US) 5 Stars March 13, 2009 I don't actually own this book myself, but one of the attendings in my program just got it. He has been using it and says it is very comprehensive. The tables are excellent for quick reference and get you right to what you need to see. I have used other books in this series and have yet to be disappointed. A good buy at the price as well.
