Product Description
A NOTE FROM JEN LANCASTER: "To whom the fat rolls…I'm tired of books where a self-loathing heroine is teased to the point where she starves herself skinny in hopes of a fabulous new life. And I hate the message that women can't possibly be happy until we all fit into our skinny jeans. I don't find these stories uplifting; they make me want to hug these women and take them out for fizzy champagne drinks and cheesecake and explain to them that until they figure out their insides, their outsides don't matter. Unfortunately, being overweight isn't simply a societal issue that can be fixed with a dose healthy of positive self-esteem. It’s a health matter, and here on the eve of my fortieth year, I've learned I have to make changes so I don't, you know, die. Because what good if finally being able to afford a pedicure if I lose a foot to adult onset diabetes?"

No Pie? by L. J. Schrader (Manchester, NH) 5 Stars
November 18, 2009
Jen Lancaster continues to crack wise in her third book. This time she takes on being shocked at finding herself big (how did this happen???). She tells her own witty tale of trying to get back to her fabulous self. Commiserate not only with her attempts at getting in shape, but with her observations on life in general. Beginning with BITTER IS THE NEW BLACK, Lancaster has a wise-ass voice that's incredibly funny and down-to-earth. She has created some of the funniest memoirs I've ever read. This is the third in her series, including BITTER IS THE NEW BLACK and BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG ASS. All of them are entertaining. Enjoy the ride!

Quick and funny read by buffalochelle 4 Stars

I purchased this book for a book club and began reading it reluctantly. I was however, pleasantly surprised. Jen Lancaster is a likable narrator. She is humorously self deprecating as opposed to taking herself too seriously. It is an enjoyable and funny book.

Fantastic! 5 Stars

title looks interesting , but thats as far as it goes by Kathy A. Chevelon (CA) 2 Stars

I purchased this book becuse of the title and some of the great reviews it was getting. But thats as far as it gets for me. I can hardly get through the fifth chapter. Im reluctant to read the rest. She goes on and on abt cheese, pork chops, tv night, and really bad reality television. Theres nothing really keeping me interested at this point...if you have nothing else to read , this would be a good pick.

I have purchased and read all of Jen Lancaster's books. She is a riot. She takes everyday life and its happenings and makes it funny. You start to see the humor in your own life. I love her "all about me" attitude and have adopted it! Wonderful books. You will laugh from page 1 all the way to the end.

by Susan Reinhardt (Author)

"Not Tonight, Honey Wait Til I'm a Size 6" is the book people are talking about.
