Product Description
This clinically-oriented, user-friendly text is the best on the market for infectious disease. Complete and comprehensive, Schlossberg's text will be an effective reference for any practitioner who may encounter these afflictions. The orientation of the volume is multi-faceted: in addition to the traditional organization of organ system and pathogen-related information, this text includes specific sections on the susceptible host, travel-related infections, nosocomial infections, infections related to trauma, and bioterrorism. The information on post-surgical infections will be of great interest to practicing surgeons. Informative algorithms, tables, and high-quality color photographs supplement many of the chapters in this conveniently-sized volume. For practicality and ease of use, one can do no better than this guide to infectious disease.

Amazing price for an amazing book by Lostplanet 5 Stars
October 21, 2009
This book is a huge bargain at this price. It is much more comprehensive, bigger and thicker than I thought it would be. Nice colored pages, tons of graphs and pictures. It covers majority of ID topics in a pretty detailed way. After reading it one feels no need to open Mandel, maybe occasionally. Highly recommended.

Great book by Salvador Gállego 4 Stars
September 22, 2009
It's a great book, simple, with many tables and easy notes, easy to read, great information on it and good sources like New England Journal of medicine I think the only thing it needs to be just perfect is like more enphasis in some kind of infections like wich are the most common agents, prevalence, and stuff like that But I really recommend it

Good review for ID boards by E. Troy 5 Stars
June 06, 2009
I bought this and another moderately-priced ID book to review for the ID boards. The other one I was dissapointed with. This one so far I have been very happy with. The information is detailed yet concise. It has information on just about every topic I need to review for the boards. I would highly recommend this book for any ID fellow looking for a good ID text book. In addition, while I love Mandell's, this one actually has more specific treatment recommendations, which I found quite useful.

Good ,easy to read and practical txbook. All the issues are well covered with a lot of table and flow chart- amazing also the price: very cheap considering the feature , all the photo and the numbers of pages. A must have for a student interested or for a busy Doc.(specialist or simply interested) with Mandell to consult in his library.
