EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description The idea of this book started with the listed rod and reel records of the catch of Striped Bass of 60 pounds or more. Investigation showed many of these men and women who caught these big bass have passed on or can't be found and their stories lost. It became obvious that a 60-pound plus Striped Bass caught by rod and reel was a rare event. So rare that I could not find a 100 after looking through all sought of outdoor media information. If so rare a catch was registered, the story of the catch must be just as unique. After interviewing many of these men and women, I realized that each story contained the passion of its angler and the determination of its foe, the Striped Bass. These rare stories should be preserved; once lost, they will be gone forever. They contain passions from real men and women who have spent countless days, months or even years seeking this trophy. |

| Disappointing by J. Altobelli (USA) 2 Stars August 27, 2008 I don't want to be too critical of something that was obviously self-published, and there is a nice list of all of the 60-pound stripers caught. However, if you're going to write a book and you can't write well, the least you can do is get a good editor or at least use spell check. The book is so poorly written that it's hard to get through the pages. Now if you don't know much about English, maybe these things won't bother you, but I had trouble making any sense out of the text. Sorry Tony.
| | Really good stories by James Fitzpatrick (Long Island, N.Y.) 4 Stars July 02, 2008 I really enjoy reading the stories. The idea to write about Striped Bass caught that weighed more than sixty pounds is great. It would be better if it was edited better, there is too much redundancy. Dont let that deter you it is a very good book especially if you like catching large bass.
