EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description In March 2001, the National Institutes of Health issued the following warning: "The number of Web sites offering health-related resources grows every day. Many sites provide valuable information, while others may have information that is unreliable or misleading." Furthermore, because of the rapid increase in Internet-based information, many hours can be wasted searching, selecting, and printing. This book was created for medical professionals, students, and members of the general public who want to conduct medical research using the most advanced tools available and spending the least amount of time doing so. |
CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 1.0 based on 2 reviews)
| Not what I was expecting by J. Day (Maine) 1 Stars September 29, 2009 I have to agree with the first reviewer. I guess I didn't look at the description or something because this was not at all what I was expecting. The dictionary had very little connection to piercing related health issues (something as simple as Fistula, the flesh tunnel that forms around a successfully healed piercing, wasn't even there). Other than that the book merely has a lot of links to resources on piercing things and a lot of it seems to revolve around worst-case scenarios (liver disease, etc). I'm returning this book as soon as possible.
| | Disappointed by J. Miller (KCMO) 1 Stars April 05, 2009 Maybe I didn't read the description page, but the whole book consists pages after pages of various websites for piercings and such. I could easily go online to get those infomation, I just have to carefully reason myself which one is trustworthy and reliable. I returned the book the very same day. Not worth buying!
