| Bird Songs by B. Hasely (New Castle PA USA) 5 Stars October 05, 2009 Excellent field guide to learning bird songs. I have this and ordered this copy as a gift for a friend wanting to learn the different birds by their song.
| | Bird songs OK by ER Andromeda 4 Stars August 28, 2009 The bird songs are easy to find on the CD, and if you have the Field Guide the CD ALMOST follows the order of birds the field guide. Some less common birds are not covered, so if you THINK you've got an ivory billed woodpecker, better take a picture of it for proof. The song ain't there.
This CD is much easier to use and follow than another bird song CD I have. I loaded the songs onto my IPod so I can compare them to birds I hear in the woods.
| | Bird Songs by Alice J. Dorschner (Millstone, NJ USA) 5 Stars July 31, 2009 CD arrived quickly and in perfect condition. A Field Guide to Bird Songs: Eastern and Central North America (Peterson Field Guides)
| | At last, a way to identify each songbird. by T. Quay Baldwin 5 Stars June 21, 2009 This audio CD has helped in a big way towards idendifying the song birds of our area. Easy to navigate and crisp, clear audio. The seller was quick and packaged it carefully.
| | Good companion for the field guide by David K. Miller 5 Stars May 28, 2009 Since the CD is organized to relate to the Peterson field guide, it's very useful as an additional resource for identification. Although there are several bird songs on each track, time markers are given for individual songs so it isn't too difficult to forward to a particular example. As a new bird watcher, I've also found it interesting to listen to the CD by itself to get a sense of the variations within groups of birds. The Amazon prices for the field guide and CD seem very fair.
