| A MUST READ!!! by Angel 5 Stars September 25, 2009 This is a must read for parents, relatives and friends of loved ones with preemies. This book breaks down the lingo the surgeons, doctors and nurses use. I'm planning on purchasing copies for the NICU's of the two neighboring hospitals where I live and my OB's office, I can not begin to tell you what a god sent this was when a close friends child was born at less then 30 weeks.
| | solid information and perspective for new parents/grandparents by SWrite (Baltimore MD) 5 Stars September 11, 2009 As a new grandma of twin preemies, this book got me through their first months with peace and information. I love the fact that it gives different perspectives of the first weeks of a preemies life, told me what the doctors and nurses were looking for, calmed me with simple but complete explanations of what new terms meant, but also confirmed for my daughter that her feelings and questions were normal. Both my daughter and I have copies and it is a reassuring and realistic guide to surviving the first months of a preemie's life. Excellent!
| | Preemie Bible by Elizabeth Locke (Georgia) 5 Stars April 13, 2009 This is the greatest preemie book. My friend gave me a copy when I went into labor with my first at 26 weeks. It answered so many questions. I took it to the meetings I had with the doctors and they were impressed with the book.
I have loaned my copy out to many other NICU parents.
I recommend this book for anyone who has a baby in the NICU, but only read the parts that effect you. There is a lot of information and it can be overwhelming.
| | An Excellent Book by EB (New Jersey, USA) 5 Stars April 13, 2009
