| All Questions Answered by Erin L. Rechel (Ohio) 5 Stars May 11, 2009 This book was purchased for my 9 year old daughter who has had friends start puberty already. Since she has heard their side, I decided to buy a book explaining more of what is going on; especially if there were questions she was not ready to ask. After reading the book, she has gained an understaning of what to expect & even had information to give to the girls who have already entered into puberty. There are answers from bra styles to tampons! Although I am not ready for her to grow up, this book has prepared both of us for what will eventually come. I recommend this to all mom's who have pre-teen girls. This book is better than the advice their friends are giving them!
| | Pre-teen survival guide by Mary V. Kahelin (Cleveland OH USA) 5 Stars April 14, 2009 My 12 year old granddaughter could not put this book down. It helped her to understand so many things about herself and growing up in a way that was so much easier for her to comprehend.
| | THIS is the book to get! by L. N. Grum (New York) 5 Stars March 23, 2009 Thank Goodness!!..... this book is exactly what I was looking for! very informative all about the changes going on, and "girl stuff" I bought this book and "The Care and Keeping of You" by American Girl press.
| | For the 9 year old by Susan Montour 4 Stars January 17, 2009 Got this for my 9 year old daughter who was too shy to talk to me about things. Ice breaker.
| | 9 yr old Stuff by J. Frendy (Greensburg , PA USA) 5 Stars January 12, 2009 I had spoken with my daughter who turned 9 in october, and explained that girls her age are starting things sooner. She said I DON"T WANT TO TALK ABOUT THIS!!!(screamed,LOL)I said well we can discuss this as we will both probably be embarassed,or I can buy you a book. She said NOTHING!!! So I explained it last night to her 6 yr old brother who by chance noticed me in my "time of the month" or "cramps" as he calls it. I explained it very simply that God blesses women to create miracles,as mary did with Jesus. If you don't creat a baby you have to bleed to clean yourself out.A man has a sperm and a woman has an egg,& if you don't create a baby you bleed. (no one asked how it got there) Needless to say My son was more interested than my daughter. She was VERY embarassed.SO today I threw 2 books into her and explained, this is what will happen to you & girls in your class soon. I just want you to know what is happening because no one ever told me & I was scared and didn't know what to do. She said I AM NOT READING THAT! daddy told her MOMMY was nice enough to buy this for you since you didn't want to discuss, please read the books. you can talk to her or me if you have to. i think she started this afternoon cause she locked herself in the room,LOL I do recommend though. She is 9 and in 3rd grade with budding Boobs,LOL
