EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description Au revoir, Pluto! In this newly revised, bestselling backlist title, beginning readers and budding astronomers are launched on a wild trip to visit the now eight planets in our solar system (per the International Astronomical Union’s 2006 decision to downgrade Pluto from a planet to a dwarf planet), along with the Cat in the Hat, Thing One, Thing Two, Dick, and Sally. It’s a reading adventure that’s out of this world! | Amazon.com Review The perfect first space book for those almost-readers, There's No Place Like Space takes us on a whirlwind tour of our solar system, with a few constellations thrown in for good measure. Cat in the Hat (along with beloved Thing One and Thing Two) straps on his space suit and rhymes his way among the nine planets, presenting important facts along the way. Where else could your preschooler learn phonics and astronomy at same time? "A planet can have satellites that surround it. Uranus has lots of these objects around it" is just one example. This is a fine addition to the library of any young stargazer--few books are written with this many facts furnished in such an easy-reading manner. (Preschool to early reader) --Jill Lightner |

| Another great suess book by Bridget Johanoboeke (Melbourne,Florida) 5 Stars April 27, 2009 If you love suess then you will love this book, it is very informative aobut space and keeps the kids interested as it poses some questions throughout as well, bought it for my four year old and my husband is a big fan too.
| | Entertaining & Educational by M. Miller (Central IN) 5 Stars April 21, 2009 My 3 year old son not only loves this book, but has learned a great deal from it. It's amazing that a 3 year old can name all of our planets and give details about each planet as well as our solar system. It has really piqued his interest in all things space related. This book holds a lot of value to us for its wholesome education value and is highly entertaining in the Dr. Seuss fashion.
| | not for little Dr. Seuss readers by Mark Gillen (OK) 3 Stars March 05, 2009 My kids are 2 years old and love the Dr. Seuss books but this one is better suited for older kids. Mine lost interest so I had to make up my own story. I would say its good for children 5 and older.
| | Loved it by everlastingstarflower (Harrisburg, Pennsylvania) 5 Stars January 14, 2009 I purchased this book along with several space sets for my 5-year-old son as a Christmas gift. He loves the book and it is in classic Dr. Seuss fashion. The only problem is that it includes Pluto as a planet, which has been removed from the planet status. Other than that, it is a great book to help kids learn about our solar system.
| | Dr. Seuss gets it right as usual by dldinsd (San Diego, CA) 5 Stars January 11, 2009 Purchased this for my 3 yr old grandson who is fascinated with space at the moment. This is a fun way to teach kids about the solar system. We both enjoy reading this, as with all Dr. Seuss' books.
